Robert J Marhefka

Robert J. Marhefka, age 88, of Geneva, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014. Born August 15, 1925 in Geneva, Ohio, he was the son of Minnie (Blazinfka) & John Marhefka. He married Bertha L. Neuman. Robert was a machinest at True Temper for 33 years and also worked for Coca Cola. A 1943 Graduate of Geneva High School, Robert served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theatre. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Geneva, Antique Club of America and the Western Reserve Auto Club. He was also a member of Geneva VFW Post #6846, American Legion Post # 124 and Geneva Eagles. He is survived by his sister, Anna Irons of Geneva; brother-in-law, Adolph Neuman of Spring Hills, FL; nephews, James (Greta) Neuman of Pacific Grove, CA, Michael Neuman of Twin Lakes, OH, Jim (Wanda) Marhefka, Tim (Sheila) Marhefka and Joel Marhefka (Janice Harchalk) all of Geneva, David Irons of Ashtabula. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Bertha; parents; brothers; John and Raymond Marhefka; sister-in-law, Xenia Marhefka; niece, Loyann Burton and nephew, Bill Irons. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 20, 2014, at St. John´s Lutheran Church, 811 South Broadway, Geneva with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Jonathan Schroeder will be officiating. Final resting place will be Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Geneva, Ohio.
