Robert "Goose" Dye

It is with both sadness and celebration that we announce the passing of Robert “Goose” Dye, born on September 11, 1940, in Cleveland, OH. Robert transitioned from this life to the next on January 19, 2026, at the age of 85. He lived his life with vigor and will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Robert, a proud veteran of the Army, dedicated much of his professional life to being a successful owner in the rental service industry, where he made countless lasting relationships. He was a figure of strength and determination, exemplifying the true spirit of hard work and commitment. For over forty years, Goose shared a passion for 4×4 sand drag racing with his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife, Corinne Dye, and their two sons, James (Cheryl) Dye and Paul (Cathy) Dye, who together celebrated Robert’s legacy of love and devotion. He was an adoring grandfather to Charles Dye, Joshua Dye, Mario Recupido, III, and Michael Recupido, as well as a proud great-grandfather to Mario Recupido, IV, Luca Recupido, and Cayden Buschmann, and sisters-in-law, Linda Judson and Diane Dye. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Dye and Leola Dye (Rogers), brother, Gary Dye, and brother-in-law, David Carr.

Per Robert’s wishes, there will not be viewing services. A Celebration of Life will be at his home at a later date. With gratitude for a life well-lived, we will cherish the memories of Robert Allen Dye, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.
