Robert "Bob" Miklavcic died after a short, but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer in Cleveland on May 7, 2016 at the age of 64. Bob was an incredibly kind and generous man who both loved animals and was an avid hunter. He loved his family deeply and would travel to celebrate birthdays, weddings, graduations and baptisms of his nieces and nephews. Bob is survived by his brothers, Frank(Rosie) Miklavcic of Frankfort, KY and John Miklavcic of Thompson; his sister, Mary Jo Miklavcic of Euclid; nieces and nephews, Angela Miklavcic Brandon (Justin); Gregory (Jennifer) Miklavcic; Laura (Chris) Tomlin and Ann Marie Miklavcic; great nephews and great-nieces, Reed, Caroline, Emily, Quentin, Ari and Jozi. He also leaves behind numerous friends and his dog, Socks. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Miklavcic. Bob was born on June 30, 1951 in Cleveland. He graduated in 1969 from St. Joseph High School in Cleveland. A lifelong mechanic, Bob worked at Western Electric, Towmotor and All Lift Services over his career. He also owned and operated his own farm. Friends will be received from 2 - to 4:00 p.m. and 6 - 8:00pm on Friday May 13, 2016 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 16550 Rock Creek Road in Thompson. The family would like to thank the Cleveland Clinic staff and Hospice for their care.   1. We didn't know Bob but we know his brother John very well and he also is a kind and generous soul. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

  2. Bob was a longtime friend. A great guy who was always willing to help others. He will be missed. Our condolences to the family.

  3. Sympathies to all of Bob's family and loved ones. We became friends during the years we car pooled together while working at Towmotor. He was a soft-spoken gentleman with a great smile and was very caring toward others. Heaven just picked up a great guy.

  5. To Bob's family…..We are deeply saddened by the loss of our great friend. Bob was a friend in the truest sense. We loved when he would visit and talk for hours. Often he attended our family functions and he was like family to all. It broke our hearts when we learned of his illness and we thank Mary Jo for keeping us updated when Bob could not do it himself. We are forever grateful to the family for allowing us to spend time with Bob during his illness and allowing us the time at the end to say our goodbyes to him. We love you all and pray for strength for all of you during this difficult time. Until we meet again, R.I.P. Bob. We loved you dearly!

He never made me feel like I was in the way, especially when “helping” bale hay. We will cherish our memories of Bob's hearty laugh and kind spirit in our hearts forever.
