Robert B. Gatewood

Robert B. Gatewood, 84, of Montville, died Monday, February 2, 2009. He was born in Euclid on February 27, 1924, the son of Beulah & Joseph Gatewood. Robert was a 1942 graduate of Euclid High School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and for seven years after the war. He worked for Tenna Corp., Hendershot & Smith and as an independent contractor with his company, Bob Gatewood Construction. He married Pauline Strode on August 30, 1952. He is survived by his wife, Pauline and children, Jillain, Robert, Brian (Debbie) Gatewood, Carolyn (Joseph) Suarez and Belle Pierce; Grandchildren, Jacob, Damon (Angela), Candace, Solomon (Karen), Cassidy, Zoe, Leslie Gatewood, Jubilee (Brian) Nebelski, Robert, & Halle Pierce; 9 Great-Grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and three of his children, Bruce, Paula and Tina. Friends will be received 12-1:00 pm, Saturday, February 7, 2009 at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio with a funeral service following at 1:00 pm. Final Resting Place will be at Montville Cemetery.
