Robert A. Verdi

Robert A. Verdi, Age 56, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2010 at his home. Born July 3, 1954 in Painesville, Ohio to Lynn Mae (Mosier) & Mario Phillip Verdi he married Karen Hanifon on November 1, 2008 at Madison Village Hall Robert was a graduate of Lakeland Community College and served 4 years in the US Navy. He was the founder of the Stephan Kostan Memorial Lift at the East End YMCA in Madison. He was a Madison Village Councilman for the past 3 years where he served on the Madison Recreational Board. He also served several years as a Madison Village Police Officer and was involved with crime prevention seminars, 55 Alive, AARP and the Neighborhood Watch program. He is survived by his Wife, Karen Verdi; Sons, Robert, Jason & Randy Verdi; Step-daughters, Jennifer Hanifon, Jessica (Matt) Toward; Step-granddaughter, Payton; Sister, Melodie (Timothy) Lippold; Brothers, Mark, Frank (Cheryl), Randy (Gerrie) Verdi. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received 2-4:00 PM and 6-8:00 PM, Sunday, October 3, 2010, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio. Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM, Monday, October 4, 2010 at the funeral home. Final Resting Place will be at Saybrook Township Cemetery.
