Robert A. "Bob" Wendell

Robert A. Bob Wendell, age 78, of Geneva, OH, died Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Geneva Shores. He was born February 5, 1939 in Portland, Oregon. He married Janiece Cochran in Madison on June 5, 1982. A 1959 graduate of Fayetteville High School, Bob retired from First Energy in 1993 after 28 years of service. He had a passion for NASCAR; loved sports, country music and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Janiece; children, David (LeeAnn) Wendell of Ashtabula, Vickie (Stan) Wendell of Vermont; stepson, Michael (Michele) Cochran of Madison; grandchildren, Melissa, Bobby, Jasmine, Julia; great-grandsons Chance and Skylar Wendell, step-granddaughters, Alyson Cochran and Holly (Mat) Osborn of Madison; step great grandchildren Cali, Mathew and Chase Osborn and step-brother, Rick Schalchlin. He was preceded in death by infant daughter, Debra Ann Wendell; parents, Joe and Kate Wendell; birthmother, Irene Schalchlin; and stepson, Richard Cochran. Friends will be received Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Behm Family Funeral Home 175 South Broadway, Geneva, Ohio.
