Richard P. Wheeler

Richard P. Wheeler, age 72, of Madison passed away May 26, 2016. He was born October 14, 1943 in Cleveland to Ann (Page) and Chauncey Wheeler.
Richard graduated from Westlake High School, joined the Air Force and was honorably discharged. He worked for the Illuminating Company, then went on to retire as a Senior Nuclear Reactor Operator from the Perry Nuclear Power Plant. Richard's favorite thing was listening to "the oldies" music of the 50's and 60's.
He is survived by his wife, Constance Wheeler; daughter, Robin Wheeler; grandson, Austin Landress; granddaughter, Shelby Landress and his favorite pet, Dotty the dog. He was preceded in death by his parents and second wife, Kathleene Wheeler.
Friends will be received 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at the BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River Street, Madison, OH 44057. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Road, Madison. Fr. Sean Donnelly will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Federal Office Building, 1240 E. 9th Street, Room 1015, Cleveland, OH 44199.
