Richard Joseph Monas

Richard "Rick" Monas, Age 53, of Perry, Ohio, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2008 Heather Hill Hospital in Munson Twp., OH. Rick was born October 28, 1954 in Erie, Pennsylvania, to Mary (Rodriques) & John Robert Monas and married Sharon McDuff in Erie, Pennsylvania on 8/12/1978. He was the owner of a plague and trophy business and also worked for Perry Schools. He was a 1973 graduate of Strong Vincent High School in Erie, PA. He loved golf and sporting events, enjoyed coaching softball and was an avid Indians & Browns fan. He was an advocate for kids, sponsored many youth sports teams, and had a generous heart. He loved to be with friends and was an angel to many. He is survived by Wife: Sharon Monas of Perry; Brother, John (Shelley) Monas of Erie, PA and Nephew, Kent Richard Monas He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received 2-5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 22, 2008, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio. Funeral Service will follow at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 22, 2008, at the funeral home.
