Richard H. Cook

Richard H. Cook, age 93 of Geneva, passed away Sunday April 3, 2022 at the David Simpson Hospice House in Euclid, Oh. He was born on Dec. 26, 1928 in Trumbull Twp. Ashtabula Co., Oh. and was the son of Harvey and Nora (Smith) Cook. As a lifetime resident of the area, Richard lived his entire life within a quarter mile of his birth home. He married Dorothy Hummel on November 29, 1952 in Madison.
Besides running the family dairy farm with his wife Dorothy, he was active in the community as a mentor to many. He was founding member of the Trumbull Twp. Fire Dept., and a member the Austinburg and Cork chapters of the Ohio Grange, Western Reserve Farm Bureau, Jefferson Square Dance Club and a Ballroom Dance Group. As well as being a lifetime member of Blue Bell Campgrounds in Conneaut, Oh. Along with music and dancing, Richard enjoyed camping, playing cards, fishing, and hunting. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Richard is survived by his children, Connie (Mark) Debevec, Diane (Gus) Link, Marge (Roger) Richards, Dale (Bunnie) Cook, and Janice Cook; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; his sister, Winnie (Cook) Kruper; and his brother, Wil Cook. He is preceded in death by his wife; parents; and a sister, Esther (Cook) Legath.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Trumbull Center Cemetery. Father Daniel Finnerty from Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church will be officiating.

Mr.Cook as I used to call him was a very patient and humble man as he was my mentor on the farm where I baled hay, fit fields, milked cows and worked on various farm equipment.
He and his wife will be greatly missed!
