Richard A. Boruta, Sr., age 57, of Geneva, died unexpectedly Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Geneva Medical Center. He was born September 23, 1960 in Martins Ferry, OH and was a 1979 graduate of Buckeye West High School. He married Linda Zalewski on August 1, 1981 in Adena, OH. He was employed for over 30 years with Lincoln Electric. He enjoyed four wheeling, the outdoors, fishing, southern rock music, Cleveland Browns Football and Indians Baseball. Above all, Rich enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Rich is survived by his wife of 36 years, Linda; daughter Nichole Boruta of Geneva and son Richard, Jr. of Erie, PA; brother, Charles (Kristie) Boruta of Cadiz; sisters Carol (Bill) Williamson of Indiana and Becky Steiner of Georgia and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Victor and Mary Boruta. Friends will be received Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva. A funeral mass will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 21, 2017 at St. Patrick Church, 16550 Rock Creek Rd., Thompson, OH.
