Rhea S. Jerrell

Rhea S. "Possum" Jerrell was born in Hubbard Springs, Virginia on February 10, 1925. He went to be with the Lord on August 5, 2008 at Cardinal Woods Rehab Center after a long illness. Preceeded in death by his parents, John Wesley & Bertha Bays Jerrell; 2 brothers, Joe Jerrell and Thomas Jerrell. Survived by his wife of 64 years, Marie Alsup Jerrell of the home in Madison, Ohio; 1 sister, Elizabeth Jerrell in Jonesville, Virginia; 4 children, Douglas Jerrell of Kansas, Beulah Yeater of Salem, Ohio, Dord (Diana) Jerrell of Thompson, and Janet (Bub) Woodworth of Rock Creek; 13 Grandchildren; 29 Great-grandchildren; 5 Great-great-grandkids; many nieces & nephews, and loads of friends. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II. Rhea worked at Ohio Rubber for 39 years and lived in Thompson, Ohio for 39 years, a place where he enjoyed gardening and raising his pet animals.. Family will be received 5-8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 7, 2008, at The Behm Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 26 River St., Madison, Ohio. Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 8, 2008 at the funeral home. Final Resting Place will be in Perry Cemetery, Perry, Ohio.
