Rev. Bernie Smith, Age 83, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2011 Rae Ann in Geneva, Ohio. Born September 20, 1928 in Lerose, Kentucky, to Emma (Seals) & Dale Smith, he married Bonnie Sears April 5, 1947 in Napoleon, Ohio Former minister of South Madison Bible Baptist Church and also assisted at North Madison Bible Baptist Church. Bernie had two passions in life, his family and his church. He is survived by Son, Kenneth (Sandy) Smith of Ocala, FL; Daughter, Sharon (Al) Hoffacker of Rock Creek, OH; 5 Grandchildren; 12 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren; Brothers, Clayton, Hugh & Donald Smith He was preceded in death by his Wife; Parents; Son, Ronald Smith and Great-Grandson, William Essler Friends will be received 2-4:00 & 7-9:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2011, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio. Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 1, 2011, at the funeral home. Final Resting Place will be at Fairview Cemetery in Madison.
