Rebecca JoAnna Caldwell

rebecca caldwell

April 10, 1943 ~ May 6, 2024

Born the only child to Joseph and Elizabeth (Jusko) Garry on April 10, 1943, Rebecca JoAnna Caldwell fulfilled many roles to many people, but most importantly, she was a child of God. Raised in Geneva on Blaine Street until moving to Perry in her senior year of high school, Rebecca spent her lifetime doting on her two daughters she brought into this world and living her life for them. Rebecca married Richard E. Caldwell September 22, 1984 and they spent the next thirty years loving their Kitties before his unexpected death in 2012. Rebecca enjoyed the talents of the gifts God bestowed upon her to create then give with love. She could crochet, knit, paint, sew, do needlepoint, decorate cakes, and bake like no other, honing most of these talents side by side with her parents. She also loved to garden, but by far, fishing, anywhere, was her happy place where she relaxed. We rejoice knowing she is no longer enduring the physical pain her human body withstood for over forty years. Although she did not think she was strong, Rebecca was a testament of strength and courage. Her spirit and mind was young at heart and not ready to leave this world behind, but the Lord called and she answered. Rebecca was the true meaning of love. Her presence in this world will be missed by her daughters, Melissa (Richard) Wormald of Madison and Meredith (Gabe) Gemma of Geneva on the Lake; her step children, Bryan Caldwell, Diane Morrison and James (Carrie) Caldwell; many grandchildren will miss their grammy – Crystal, Robert, Adam, Josie, Abby, Gabe, Christian, Cameron, Cassie, Marcus, Caitlin, and George; and eleven great grandchildren will no longer be able to feel the warmth of grammy’s hugs. Psalms 116:15 “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his Saints.” The Lord Welcomed Rebecca home with open arms on May 6th 2024 where she will spend eternity in peace. At Rebecca’s request, private family services will be observed. Beccie has asked family and friends to eat lots of seafood and go fishing in remembrance of her. The Behm Family Funeral Home of Geneva is assisting the family at this time. Online obituary and condolences may be viewed at www.behmfuneral.com
