Raymond Lee Shortridge Sr.

Raymond Lee Shortridge, Sr. age 78 a resident of Geneva, Ohio passed away Sunday, April 8, 2007 at his home in Geneva, Ohio. Born October 25, 1928 in Mar France, West Virginia to Ena B. (Cade) & Freelin Shortridge, Sr. He married Vivian J. Reliford on July 6, 1950 in Rainelle W. Virginia. Raymond worked In the Coal Mines of West Virginia, and Morton Salt in Fairport Harbor for 40 years. Mr. Shortridge loved to fish, where he would tell many "Fish Tales". He also loved playing the guitar and listening to Blue Grass music. He loved working in his garden where he especially looked forward to tasting the first season?s strawberry. He is survived by his 5 Daughters Rita L. (Maynard) Imm of Pasadena, Texas, Linda "Katie" (John) Crosby of Madison; Ruth Cindy ( Dave) Steyer of W. Farmington, Ohio, Mary Ann Shortridge of Geneva & Barbara Ellen ( Larry) Phelps of Conneaut, Ohio; 3 Sons Robert L. (Tilynn) Shortridge of Ashtabula, Ohio, Frank M. (Rita) Shortridge of Geneva & Lewis T. Shortridge of Geneva; 14 Grandchildren & 14 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Vivian Shortridge in 1993; Son Raymond L. Shortridge, Jr.; Granddaughter Attica & his Sister Madeline McClure. Friends will be received 2-4 & 7-9 Thursday, April 12, 2007, at The Behm Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. Funeral Service will be10 am, Friday, April 13th at The Behm Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva. Officiating will be Jerry Danalchak, the Hospice Spiritual Care Coordinator Final Resting Place will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Geneva, Ohio.
