Raymond D. Shupska

Raymond D. Shupska, age 88 of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011 at University Hospitals Geneva Medical Center. Born October 15, 1922 on First Street in Geneva, Ohio to Ruby (Spring) & Michael Shupska. He lived in the city his whole life and always said "Geneva My Home Town". He married Marie Knapp on March 10, 1951. Raymond was a concrete contractor, he was a big Browns Fan and had season tickets for 15 years. He loved his family, community, and his work. He was a wheelsman and sailed the Great Lakes for seven years. He started Raymond D. Shupska Concrete Company after coming home from the lakes and continued to work for the business untila few years ago, puttin in over 60 0years and pouring thousands of yards of concrete in the local area. He did many jobs for the city of Geneva and donated many pours for teh youth groups in the area. He loved to spend time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He is survived by Wife of over 60 years, Marie Shupska of Geneva; Children, Rodger Clarke, Sharon (Mike) Shirley, Robert (Vicki) Clarke, and Michael (Pegi) Shupska; Grandchildren, Errol, Alexandria Clarke, Rhonda Heyburn, Todd Redmond, Annjanette Redmond, Jessica Clarke, Christopher Clarke, Michael & Raymond Shupska; Great-Grandchildren, Errol, Priscilla, Ahiyah, Walter, Haila, Jarrod, Logan, Isabella,Brandy, Michael, and Cody. He was preceded in death by Parents and his Brother, Michael Shupska A memorial Service will be 6:00 pm, Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at the Geneva Community Center, 62 West Main Street, Geneva, Ohio. Jason Cole will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kingdom Hall, 7320 Middle Ridge Road, Madison, OH 44057.
