Raymond D. Kuhar, Age 86, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012 Rae-Ann Geneva. Born June 18, 1926 in Geneva to Mary (Poje) & Anton Kuhar; he married Doris Spade in Geneva on May 15, 1947
Worked for Geneva Metal Wheel for 28 years and retired from the Geneva Post Office.
A 1944 graduate of Platt R. Spencer High School where he was captain of the basketball team and president of his class. Ray served in the Navy for 2 years and was a plankowner of the USS Noah DD#841, a lifetime member of the Geneva V.F.W. #6846, Geneva Eagles #2243, Madison Legion #112 and a member of the Lettermans' Club. He enjoyed golf, woodworking, watching westerns and playing cards, especially the Tuesday afternoon poker games.
He is survived by Wife of 65 years, Doris Kuhar of Geneva SonsDonald Kuhar of New Port Richey, FL James (Becki) Kuhar of Ashtabula DaughtersCarol (Jon) Holloway of Geneva Kathryn (Jack) McFeely of Mentor 6 Grandchildren 8 Great-Grandchildren Several Nieces & Nephews
He was preceded in death by his Parents; Brothers, Joseph & Charles Novak, Roy Kuhar; Sisters, Emily Novak & Mildred Barber
Graveside Services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, July 16, 2012 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Rt. 84, in Geneva.
