Ralph William Henry Crocker

Ralph William Henry Crocker, age 90 of Thompson, passed away Friday, August 8, 2014, in Tucson, AZ. Born April 1, 1924 in Painesville, he was the son of Catherine (Van Guilik) & Charles Thomas Crocker. He married Mary Louise Sidley of Montville in Amarilla, TX on June 2, 1945.
Ralph worked at Crandall Ford, R. W. Sidley and was co-owner of Bailey Lumber in Perry, OH. He was a 1942 graduate of Thompson High School and served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. Ralph enjoyed making toys, woodworking, auto mechanics, auto racing and model air planes. And after he retired, a great love was traveling with his wife around the country. He served 8 years as a Thompson Township Trustee.
He is survived by his daughters, Judith Ann (Ray) Kinnison of Tucson, AZ, Cynthia Lou (Ralph) Hudnell of Thompson; sons, Dale Alan (Olga) Crocker of Kokomo, IN, Thomas James Crocker of Toledo, OH; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-laws Dorothy Gates, Jackie (Richard) Loveland, Jeanette (Tom) Hejduk, and Carol Sidley; sister, Phrocene "Sis" Hoff of Kensington, KS and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Mary Louise Crocker, parents, brother-in-laws Bud, Lyle, and Jim.
Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Friday, August 15, 2014 at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River Street, Madison, OH 44057. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the funeral home and will be celebrated by Ralph's niece, Anita Sites of Pueblo, CO..
