Ralph Donald Schmidt

Ralph Donald Schmidt, Age 79, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Monday, March 15, 2010 UHHS Geauga Regional Hospital in Chardon. Born November 19, 1930 in Painesville to Veda (Welsh) & Ralph Schmidt he married Kathleen Filppi in 1956 in Painesville Ralph worked at Rockwell International in the Brake Division He was a 1949 Graduate of Perry High School and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the Volunteer Police Department in Painesville, worked as an EMT at Broadfield and was also a volunteer at Geneva Hospital. He is survived by Wife of 54 years, Kathleen Schmidt of Madison; 4 Daughters, Lori (Barry) Parker of Grand Island, FL, Susanne (Lou) Occhipinti of Zephyrhills, FL, Andrea (James) Voight of Beckley, WV & Tara (David) Campbell of Cadiz, OH; 2 Sons, Michael (Cathy) Schmidt of Jefferson, OH & Jon (Deborah) Schmidt of Kannapolis, NC; 8 Grandchildren, Kristina, Lisa, Aaron, Barret, Becka, Lane, Tatum, Carley, Jaxon; 1 Great-Grandson, David; Brother, Robert Schmidt of Williamsburg, VA. He was preceded in death by his Parents and Sister, Joyce Wirtzberger Private family services will be observed.
