Pickford Ritter Hook

Pickford "Pick" Hook age 80 a resident of Harpersfield, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at his home.
Born August 2, 1926 in Martinsburg, West Virginia to Daisy (Ritter) & Reuel R. Hook
Married Jean E. Lonas in Hagerstown, Maryland, on August 21, 1949.
Employed as a Material Handler at Coca-Cola in Geneva . Had also worked at Rayon and True Temper.
Mr. Hook was in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He served on the U.S.S. Henry Tucker destroyer. Mr. Hook was a member of Peoples Church where he had served as a board member, trustee, usher, or wherever he was needed. He was a volunteer at the Geneva Food Pantry. He was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed hunting. Pickford enjoyed being with people but most of all loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by His wife of 57 years, Jean E. Hook of Harpersfield; 2 Daughters Karen (Dave) Warren of Canton, Michigan & Debbie (Gary) Gruber of Harpersfield; 3 Sons Gary (Denise) Hook of Austinburg, Duane (Mary Ann) Hook of Austinburg & David (Lesia) Hook of Franklin, Tennessee; 14 Grandchildren & 14 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by His parents Daisy & Reuel R. Hook and Brothers Robert & James Hook.
Friends will be received 5-8:00 pm on Thursday, April 26, 2007, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio 44041.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Friday, April 27, 2007 at Peoples Church, 300 South Ridge East, Geneva, Ohio 44041 with the Rev. Jim Walker of Peoples Church officiating.
Final Resting Place will be at Harpersfield Cemetery in Harpersfield Township.
