Phyllis M. Close, Age 86, of Madison, passed away Monday, February 21, 2011 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus Born November 19, 1924 in Madison to George and Jessie (Taylor) Balch, she Married Blair Close on July 5, 1945 in Geneva Phyllis was a graduate of Madison High School. She worked as a clerk at Carlisle?s Department Store and also as a beautician. She liked to volunteer, particularly for Meals on Wheels and at Geneva Hospital. Survived by Daughter, Doreen Close of Pickerington, Ohio; Son, Dennis Close of Madison; 9 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; Sister, Janet Moore of Geneva Preceded in death by Her Husband Blair, Son David, Parents, and Sisters Jean Balch and Ann Znidarsic, and Brother William Balch Friends will be received 9:00 to 10:00am on Friday, February 25, 2011 at the Behm Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison. Funeral Service will follow at 10:00am at the funeral home Final Resting Place will be at Fairview Cemetery in Madison
