Phillip J. Blair,, age 70, of Madison , passed away: Friday, August 10, 2012 at the Cleveland Clinic surrounded by his family
Born: January 21, 1942 in Cleveland to Angeline (Passerell) and Frank Blair; he married: Peggy Burgett on June 29, 1963 in Mentor.
A 1960 graduate of Madison High School Phil started working for his father at a young age Perfection Corporation in Madison, a company he stayed with for most of his life. He went on to found PDM Manufacturing and then worked as a administrator for St. Justin Martyr and St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Churches. Serving as a Madison Township Trustee in the Late 1970's he went on to be the Township Administrator, retiring in 2004. A devout catholic, Phil was an active member of Immaculate Conception Church in Madison, serving on Parish Council, singing in the choir and serving as a Eucharistic Minister. A member of the Madison Perry Chamber of Commerce he also served on the Madison Township Bicentennial Committee. Phil had a passion for classic cars and belonged to several groups in the area including the Good Time Cruisers. He will be missed by his Nifty Fifties breakfast club. A hero to his grandchildren they were impressed with his ability to fix anything. He knew how to love life, enjoying every opportunity to spend time with his family and organizing the annual Memorial Day picnics, camping trips, and Christmas dinners.

Friends will be received 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison
Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00pm on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Road in Madison.
Final Resting Placewill be North Madison Cemetery.
