Phillip Brockway

Philip Brockway, age 76 of Painesville, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Born July 5, 1937 in Perry, he was the son of Amy Ethel (Means) & Paul Eugene Brockway. He married Nickie Lovelady, on October 25, 1969 in Willoughby.
Phil was known for his sense of humor, hovercrafts, tractors and his mechanical expertise. He was a self taught engineer, inventor and jack of all trades. He served as a truck driver/mechanic in the US Army and retired from Avery International.
He is survived by his wife, Nickie Brockway of Painesville; children, Daniel Brockway of Painesville, Teresa (Joe) Stodolak of Concord, David (Tracy) Brockway of Mentor; grandchildren, Samantha Brockway, Raquel Stodolak, Nick Stodolak, Alex Brockway; great-grandson, Chase Douglas; sisters, Nancy (Robert) Waclowski of Springdale, AR, Kathy (Doug) Heath of Keller, TX; brothers, David (Karen) Brockway of Madison, Robert Brockway of Perry. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Roland Brockway.
Friends will be received 2-4 PM Sunday, May 18, 2014, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River Street, Madison, OH 44057. A graveside service with military honors will take place at 10:00 AM, Monday, May 19, 2014 at Perry Cemetery on Center Road in Perry.
