Perry Fennell, “Pappy”, age 79, of Madison, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 1, 1944 in Youngstown, the son of George and Maude (Fenton) Fennell. Perry served in the Airforce and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. He worked as an Auto Mechanic at Columbiana Chevrolet, and owned Fennell Finishing. He was a very loving man of very few words. He enjoyed time with his family, and was especially proud of, and loved his grandchildren wholeheartedly. He is survived by the love of his life and companion of 44 years, Patricia Sampson—“Good night, John Boy—Good Night, John Girl”; daughters, Alicia (Terry) Yorty, Connie Sugden; sons, Jason (Carrie) Sampson, Cary (Catherine) Sampson; grandchildren, Ashley, Lillian, Mason, Sydney, Layla, Lola; and brother, Ronnie (Patty) Fennell. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gilbert and Louie Fennell; and sister, Claudia Wisser. Friends will be received 2-4pm, Monday, December 18, 2023, at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison, with a Funeral Service following at 4pm and celebrated by Pastor Arley Yorty.
