Perry A. Wilson, age 85, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2008 University Hospitals Geneva Medical Center in Geneva, Ohio. Born June 4, 1923 in Windsor to Mary (Yeager) & Ray Wilson he mMarried Lois Warner in Chardon, Ohio on 7/10/1944. He was formerly a Manager for LandMark Mr. Wilson attended Grace Lutheran Church in Thompson. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was with General Patton at the Battle of the Bulge. Received a Purple Heart and was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans Chardon Post. Was a volunteer fireman for the Thompson Fire Department for 32 years and served as an Assistant Chief. He is survived by Wife of 63 years, Lois Warner of Madison; Daughters, Sharon Wilson of Madison, Mary Lou (Bernard) Marteney of Painesville, Margaret (Duane) Harding of Thompson, Sandra Sheffel of Madison; Grandchildren Joseph (Brigette) DeFazio III, Michael (Beverly) DeFazio, Virgil & Stacy Marteney, Dawn (Jason) Davidson, Melissa (Ric) Swigert, Amanda & Tyler Sheffel; Great-Grandchildren, Jordan, Nicholas & Brooke He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary (Yeager) and Ray Wilson; son, Perry Jr. and brother, Ralph Wilson Friends will be received 2-5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 8, 2008 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio. Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 9, 2008, at the funeral Home. Rev. Ross Fees of Grace Lutheran Church will be officiating. Final Resting Place will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Thompson.
