Peggy Womble Wright

Peggy Womble Wright, age 92 of Wilmington, NC, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Spring Arbor. Born September 13, 1931 in Durham, NC she was the daughter of the late Inez (Tillman) Hall & James Markham Peggy worked as a receptionist at Rae Ann Nursing Home in Geneva Ohio for many years. She also worked at Hills Department Store in Ashtabula, Ohio and was a active member of Geneva Baptist Church where she was a pianist. She is survived by her daughters, Dottie (Joy) Anderson – Russell of Yuma, AZ, Barbara Clark of Youngstown, OH; son, Steve (Mary) Womble of Dorchester, SC; stepdaughter, Patricia (Richard) Lyerly; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Herbert G. Womble and her second husband, Leon Wright; sons in law, Bill Anderson and Tom Clark; and grandson Killian Anderson. A Private Graveside Service will take place at Saybrook Township Cemetery in Saybrook Township.
