Pearl H. Underwood, age 86, of Painesville, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 at UH Cleveland Medical Center. She was born July 14, 1934 the daughter of Peter and Clara (Girhiny) Ruszkai. She was a 1952 graduate of Fairport Harding High School and then later married Vance W. “Chick” Underwood on August 1, 1953 in Fairport Harbor.
Pearl enjoyed spending time with her family and also enjoyed watching sports.
She is survived by sons, Kenneth (Evelyn) Underwood, David (Michele) Underwood; grandchildren, Zachary, Joshuea, and Kristen; great-grandchildren, Emaline, Grayson, Everleigh; and brother, Steve (Janet) Ruszkai. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vance; and her parents.
Friends will be received 10 am to 12 noon Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Behm Family Funeral Home, 26, River Street, Madison with a Service immediately following at Noon and will be officiated by Rev. Louis Medgyesi. Final Resting Place will be Fairview Cemetery. Guests are required to follow current pandemic guidelines, wear masks and practice social distancing. Contributions may be made to Hungarian Reformed Church, 601 Plum St, Fairport Harbor, OH 44077.
