Paul M. Kowatch Sr.

Paul M. Kowatch, Sr., Age 86, of Trumbull Township, Ohio, passed away Friday, December 18, 2009 at home. Born June 12, 1923 in Bakerton, PA to Helen (Barnosty) & John Kowatch he married Constance Guenther on December 23, 1945. Paul served in the U.S. Air force and was a tail gunner in a B24 during WWII. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was a member of the VFW and Footville Ruritan Club, and was a 4H advisor for 22 years. Paul was a past Teacher, Principle, and Director of Special Education in the Ledgemont School District. He is survived by Wife of 64 years, Constance Kowatch of Trumbull Township; Son, Tyler B. (Sue) Kowatch of Trumbull Township; Daughter, Conney (Neil) Gilbert, of Trumbull Township; Grandson, Nathan Kowatch of Trumbull Township; Sister, Helen Stoltz of Geneva. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Son, Paul M. Kowatch, Jr.; Sisters Rose and Irene; and Brother, John Jr. Friends will be received 5-8:00 p.m., Monday, December 21, 2009 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at the funeral home. Final Resting Place will be at Trumbull Township Cemetery.
