Paul F. Lehmann

On August 24, 2026 our Lord and Savior called home His faithful servant, Paul F. Lehmann, age 93 1/2, of Geneva. He passed away at Geneva Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family. Paul was born in Geneva on December 28, 1932 to Paul A. and Martha (Neuman) Lehmann. He graduated from Geneva High School in 1950 and married Janet (High) on September 10, 1955.

He worked as a tool and die draftsman for 24 years at True Temper in Saybrook until their closing. He also worked for Molded Fiber Glass, Elkem Metals, S.C.M., owned Lehmann Design and Drafting, and was a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking, and most of all, spending time with his family. Paul will be lovingly remembered as the man who had a tool to fix any kind of problem, and he loved to work on projects for his family. He especially enjoyed building wood clocks and wood toys for his grandchildren. More recent hobbies included playing Dominoes and Rummy, working on puzzles, and scratching off lottery tickets.

He will be greatly missed by his daughters and sons-in-law, Joanne (Scott) DeShetler and Diane (Lou) Gruber; grandchildren, Rachel (Caleb) Schwieterman, Cassie (Mike) French, Jacob Gruber, Ashley (Brian) Evans, and Hayley DeShetler; great-grandchildren, Mallory and Harper French and Camden and Sutton Schwieterman. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dale Lehmann; and Janet, his beloved wife of 66 years.

Family and friends will be received August 27 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Behm Funeral Home in Geneva. and August 28 at 10:00 A.M. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Geneva, with a funeral service following at 11 A.M., Pastor Jonathan Schroeder presiding. Final resting place will be Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva. A luncheon will be served at the church following the burial. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Preschool, P.O.
