Paul Edward Hunter, 94, of Geneva Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025 at The David Simpson Hospice House in Euclid Ohio. Born on May 9, 1930, Paul was a devoted husband to Gloria (Osborne) Hunter for 70 years as well as a loving father to his daughters Rochelle (Craig) Austin and Lori (Rex) Reigert. He dearly loved his grandchildren Kevin (Jennie) Austin, Ben (Lindsay Leone) Austin, Alexandra Reigert and Lindsey Reigert. He was also a beloved brother, uncle and friend.

Born in Cleveland Ohio, Paul was a 1948 graduate of Andover High School and then served in the Navy during the Korean War from 1948-1952. He then worked as a boiler/maintenance engineer for several Cleveland companies retiring in 1992 from Climax Specialty Metals.

Paul lived life to the fullest by playing golf, cards, bowling and attending all of his grandchildren’s activities throughout their lives. He was a proud member of the Geneva Eagles sports community and attended Friday night football games as well as girls and boys basketball games for many decades. Paul loved the Cleveland Indians/Guardians and Cavaliers, rarely missing a game on TV. He prided himself of maintaining his home and yard to impeccable standards. He also constructed his own Christmas Village with various intricate details, adding to it every year for the annual Christmas Eve party and Christmas Day celebrations. He was also computer savvy keeping up with Facebook and playing various computer games as well as crossword and jigsaw puzzles.

In addition to the above mentioned family, he is survived by his sister Mary Ann (Hunter) Heinold, his half-brother James Hunter as well as nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents James Hunter and Marie (Filiet) Hunter and brother Jack Hunter.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday April 16 from 5-7 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva Ohio 44041. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in Paul’s name to Geneva Athletic Boosters, PO Box 584, Geneva, OH 44041.
