Paul Ervin Runals, age 88, passed away May 29, 2026. Born February 27, 1938, in Lodi, OH to Nellie Fern (Hicks) and Laurel DeForest Runals.

He was a graduate of LaGrange High School in the class of 1957. Paul served in the United States Army Reserves for 8 years and then attended Case School for diesel mechanics. He worked for Mahoning Leasing and Mitchel Transport as a truck mechanic.

Paul was raised on a farm in LaGrange and loved racing go-carts and motorcycles. He also loved fishing, hunting and boating. He enjoyed shooting the breeze with his many friends. Paul also loved his antique tractors, books and magazines. He also loved attending the National Threshers Reunions to see all the old steam engines. His father had collected huge steam engines and he himself had a Frick 1922 steam engine.

Paul is survived by his wife, Linda; sister, Donna (Mike) Andry; his children, Ronda Vaidean (Jev), Thomas (Christina), Robert (Teresa) and James (Anna); and step daughter Darlene (Thomas) Schreiber; grandchildren, Benjamin, Robert (Ashley), Brandon (Amanda), Cassie (Rich), Nicholas (Erica), Anthony (Kayla), Joseph (Corin); 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Carole (Mingus); brother, Harold; sister, Bonnie; sister-in-law, Donna; and brother-in-law, Benjamin Carpenter.

Memorial service will be held on June 17, 2026 at 11 AM at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland, OH. Online obituary may be found at www.behmfuneral.com
