Paul Cooper
August 13, 1947 ~ November 8, 2022
Paul Cooper was called to his heavenly home on November 8, 2022 after declining health for several years. He was born on August 13, 1947 to the Rev. Willie and Victoria Cooper.
He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at an early age and was devoted to God and his church, Union Pentecostal United Holy Church, Painesville, OH. He served as an usher, a trustee, and a deacon faithfully until he became ill and needed care in a nursing facility. He enjoyed riding his bike around the city with his closest friend, Mary Horne Davis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Mamie Rowe, and Dorothy Kelly; brothers-in-laws Rev. Iva Rowe and Willie Kelly.
He is survived by nieces, Ivorene Rowe, April (Reggie) Isaac, Erica (Anthony) Hopkins; nephew Lynn Rowe and a host of other nieces and nephews and his church family.
Paul was a friendly caring person and even though he had physical limitations he always found joy in serving and helping where he could with a kind heart and a warm smile. He was a true child of God.
Friends will be received at 10 am on Friday November 18, 2022 at Union Pentecostal United Holy Church, 159 Mathews Street in Painesville, Ohio. Service will take place immediately following at 11 am at the church.
