Patricia Ann Phillips age 70 a resident of Unionville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2007 in Geneva, Ohio. Born March 14, 1937 in Bergoo, WVA to Emogene (Cutlip) & Ronald Rucks. Married the late Richard S. Phillips, Sr. in Geneva, Ohio on September 5, 1955. Worked at Harvey Hubbell in Madison until they closed. Came to Geneva in 1951 during her 9th grade. Patricia was very active in High School sports and sport clubs. She was class Secretary in her freshman year and a majorette in the Geneva Marching Band for 2 years. The band went to Washington DC in their Senior year. She married Richard Phillips, Sr. in 1955, together they resided in Norfolk, VA while he served in the Navy. In 1956 she gave birth to their first son, Richard Jr, in Geneva then in 1958 to Steven also in Geneva. In 1958 they moved to Unionville where they built a home. Patricia worked at Gary Allen Sportswear in Painesville and Harvey Hubbell in Madison until they closed. Her favorite past time was working in her flower & vegetable gardens, beautiful showcase flowers-gardens. Also filming her grandchildren and spending time with family. She is survived by her 2 Sons Richard (Shelly) Phillips, Jr of Schenectady, NY & Steven Phillips of Unionville, Ohio; Grandchildren Cody, Laura, Cooper & Logan of Schenectady, NY & Daniel of Unionville, Ohio; Mother Emogene Rucks of Geneva; Sister Norma (William) Saunders; Brother James (Wanda) Rucks; Aunts Della Lehr of Geneva, Ohio & Gerri Pennell of Canton, Ohio and Several Nieces & Nephews. She was preceded in death by her Husband Richard Phillips; Father Ronald Rucks; Sister Ruth Lenore; Aunts Genevieve Singleton, Genelda Chapman & Maxine Silvestro. Friends will be received 6-8:00 pm on Friday, September 7, 2007 at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 175 South Broadway, Geneva, Ohio Funeral Service will be 10:00 am at the funeral home on Saturday, September 8, 2007 Rev. Richard Thompson of Geneva Baptist Church will be officiating. Final Resting Place will be at Alexander Harper Memorial Cemetery in Unionville, Ohio Contributions: Hospice of the Western Reserve, 5786 Heisley Rd., Mentor, OH 44060-1830.
