Pamela DiPlacido

Pamela S. DiPlacido, age 60, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013 at The Hospice House in Cleveland. She was born November 4, 1952 the daughter of Benjamin and Bertha Girdler.
Pam graduated from Madison High School in 1971 and married the love of her life Joseph S. DiPlacido on September 14, 1974. Together they spent a lifetime dedicated to raising their family, traveling, and making memories that will endure. Pam was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend who's selfless nature and kind heart will be deeply missed.
For 5 ½ years Pam resolutely battled Ovarian Cancer. She emerged, a source of inspiration and optimism to others and demonstrated the very essence of courage. She showed us all what it meant to live life with class, style and dignity, no matter the circumstance. Pam was impassioned to spread awareness and raise funds to fight this terrible disease.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Diplacido, of Geneva, Sons, Mike DiPlacido and JasonDiPlacido; Mother, Bertha Girdler; Brothers, Benjamin (Cynthia) Girdler, Dan (Janie) Girdler; Sister, Dianna (Robert) Winton; Mother-in-law, Angie Barnaby; Sister-in-law, Nancy (Bob) Johnson; and many wonderful Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Friends will be received from 4-7:00 pm. on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio. Celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am. Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the funeral home.
