Orville P. Rice, age 61, resident of Geneva, Ohio passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, May 5, 2016 in Geneva. He was born on October 5, 1954 in Geneva to Mary Magdalene (Bolden) and Ernest Rice. Orville married Kathy Mullins on December 27, 1973 in Geneva.
Orville attended school through the Geneva school system. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Orville was a happy-go-lucky kind of guy and known as the jokester of the crowd. He looked forward to his Friday night poker games with his friends. Above all else, Orville's greatest passion was his family.
Orville is survived by his wife, Kathy Rice; daughter, Angela (Court) Whitman; sons, Orville P. Rice Jr., Michael Lee Rice; grandsons, Michael Donald Fogle, Joshua Rice; brothers, Roger (Patty) Rice, Lige (Laura) Rice; sisters, Vickie Rice, Belinda (Larry) Swartz, Marie Lakes, and Brenda Pudder. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Ernestine Hershberger.
Friends will be received from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at the Behm Family Funeral Home 175 South Broadway, Geneva, Ohio 44041.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the funeral home. Orville's big brother, Reverend Roger Rice of Westridge Baptist Church will officiate. Final resting place will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Geneva.
