Norb Snopel

Norbert M. “Norb” Snopel, age 78 of Madison passed away Monday, January 8, 2024 at his home after a long and brave battle with COPD.  Born in Cleveland on May 18, 1945 he was the son of Stephen and Mary (Heyduk) Snopel.  He was a 1963 graduate of Benedictine High School and later attended Tri C College. Norb retired as a supervisor from CE/WS Tyler Inc. He had a passion for classic cars and owned many including a 1965 GTO and a 1963 Corvette. Norb was a master at disassembling items and a perfectionist, always completing his tasks with the utmost detail. Most of all he loved attending  his grandchildren’s sporting events and spending quality time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Kathleen (Morris); son, Stephen (Stephanie) Snopel; daughter, Deborah (John) Phelps; grandchildren, Johnny (Kirstin) Phelps, Ryan Phelps, Brenden and Caleigh Snopel; great-grandson, Johnny Ray Phelps; sister, Joan Smyke and many nieces, nephews and beloved family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Stephanie Gerwig. Friends will be received 2-5 pm Sunday, January 14^th  at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison.
