Nikalea Trese Garvas, age 15, of Painesville, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital. She was born September 1, 2001 in Painesville to Melissa (Charrette) and Christopher Garvas.
Nikalea loved music and animals. She enjoyed being outside and being surrounded by kids.
She is survived by her parents, sister, Veronica Garvas; brother, Jared Garvas; maternal grandmother, Theresa (Wietrzykowski) Burr (Scott); maternal grandfather, Glenn Charrette; paternal grandparents, Joe and Patricia (Borlin) Garvas; maternal great-grandmother, Barbara Mease (Ray); maternal great-grandfathers, Leonard Wietrzykowski, Vernon Burr (Sandra); aunts and uncles, Michele Smith-Edel (Steve Spencer), Scott Burr (Jamy), Christopher Burr, Kristen Friedrich (Scott), Kenneth Burr (Nicole), Derek Charrette (Angela), Marc Charrette (Tausha), Michael Garvas (Katie), Brian Garvas (Jennifer); godmother, Shawnna Thomas; and 29 first cousins. She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, James Taylor; maternal great-grandfather John Taylor; maternal great-grandmothers, Mary Lou Wiertrzykowski, Patricia Burr; maternal great-grandparents, Leona Charrette (George); and paternal great-parents, Christine Garvas (Joseph), and Victoria Borlin (August).
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 2551 Sexton Road, Geneva, Ohio with a pot luck meal to follow.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
