Ms. Nenita Clemente, age 75 of Olmsted Falls, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Wednesday December 25, 2024. Born on January 16, 1949 in the Philippines to Atty. Sixto and Eladia Clemente. She graduated from High School at St. Paul College Paranaque, 1965. She went to college at Philippine Women’s University, 1969. She immigrated to the United States where she studied at and graduated from Case Western Reserve University with the Masters degree in Nutrition and became a licensed Dietitian. Upon graduation, she worked at Cleveland Metropolitan Hospital where she retired. Loved by family and friends, she was resourceful, independent and generous. She organized fundraising for St. Paul College Paranaque for food distribution for those affected by Covid and natural disasters. Nenita contributed to several charities with one of her favorites being St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She was a Parishioner at St Mary of the Falls Catholic Church in Olmsted Falls.
She is the youngest of 11 children. She is survived by her sisters Ely Coligado of Houston, Texas; Elsa Aboytes of Amarillo, Texas; Jean Canales of Medina, OH; and Fe (Kelly) Cabral of Ft. Lauderdale Florida; her nieces and nephews Larry (Alisa) Clemente, Brian Mallick, Lorna (Jason) Connell, Dr Mike (Dominique) Canales, Romeo (Annie) Clemente, Bessie (Mario) Uy, Angelina Ocampo, Dr Eric Coligado, Dr Edwin (Sylvia) Coligado, David (Katie) Coligado, Emy Lee Coligado, and Fiel (Maria) Cabral, Mandy and James Cabral, Annalee (Jeng) Pauig, Arnold (Pat) Clemente and Rouenna Clemente; grandchildren, Alexander, Lily, and Samuel Clemente and various nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews in the USA and Philippines.
She is preceded in death by her parents Atty. Sixto & Eladia Clemente; brothers, Lorenzo Clemente, Sr. and Herme Clemente; sisters, Julita, Aurora and Lutgarda Clemente and Emy Mallick; her nieces, Susan Clemente, Sylvia Paz and nephews Rando, Gerry and Sixto Jr Clemente.
The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Cleveland Clinic who cared for her and especially her primary care physician, Dr Joseph Parambil and Dr Constance Ann Jennings.
Friends and Family will be received 10 to 11:30 am, Friday January 3, 2024 at the Behm Family Funeral Home 26 River Street in Madison with Funeral Service following at Noon at Assumption Church, 594 W. Main St. in Geneva, Ohio. Final Resting Place will be in Madison Memorial Cemetery on Arcola Road. Behm Family Funeral Home of Madison is assisting the family.
