Resided in: Madison, OH

Nancy L. Campton (previously Sisson, Rose, or Weaver), 94, of Madison, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family.

Nancy was born in Cleves, Ohio, to Sivert and Maude Sisson, and was the youngest of 8 children. She graduated from Miami University with a degree in Education, which she got after marrying her first love, Reverend Donald Rose. Don’s calling took them to Nebraska, where they brought their four amazing children; Jonathan, Stephen, Sandra, and Mark, into the world.
After Don’s unexpected death, Nancy returned home to Cleves where she taught third grade. A few years passed when she met the second love of her life, Reverend David Weaver. They married and had their daughter, Carolyn. Along with their daughter, Nancy added four step-children to her life: Alan, Kay, Ruth, and Larry.

After David’s passing, Nancy was volunteering at a local hospital in Washington Courthouse, Ohio, where she met her third husband, Ron Campton. Together, they became snowbirds until moving to Florida full time, where Ron passed. After his death, Nancy moved to Madison, Ohio, to be lovingly cared for by her eldest, Jon Rose and his wife Laura. and her granddaughter, Jessie Guile.
Nancy built unique, beautiful lives with each of her husbands, cherishing the memories she created along the way. From Ohio to Nebraska to Florida and back to Ohio, Nancy enjoyed her family and friends, finding strength and comfort in the Methodist churches she belonged to, and the choirs she sang with. Anyone who spent any time with Nancy learned she would break into song at any moment; there truly is a song for everything! She passed that talent on to her kids and grand kids. Another talent she had was making cathedral window quilts for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Hundreds of hours of love were put into the stitches of those quilts.

Nancy is survived by her children, Jonathan (Laura) Rose, Sandra Rose (Dennis) Dressel, Mark Rose, and Carolyn Weaver; her step-children, Alan (Mary) Weaver and Ruth (John) Hall; her 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her three husbands, her son Stephen Rose, and her step-children Larry Weaver and Kay Miller, and 4 grandchildren.
A family celebration of Nancy’s life will be at a later date in Washington Courthouse, Ohio.
