Nancy Claypool Teare

Nancy Claypool Teare, age 84, of Madison, passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 at Cardinal Woods Nursing Home. She was born June 17, 1937 in Cleveland, the daughter of the late John and Julia Bejus. She married James Raymond Teare in Madison in 1994.
Nancy was a member of Park Street United Methodist Church for many years. She worked at JC Penney for 10 years, before retiring in 2001. She was a past president of the Madison Historical Society. She enjoyed delivering Meals on Wheels with her husband, James and tending to her garden.
She is survived by her husband, James Teare; sons, Charles (Maria) Claypool and Michael (Kim) Claypool; step-children, David (Rocci) Teare, Jeffrey Teare, Michael (Anne) Teare and Ellen (Mike) Foster; grandchildren, Christopher, Brandon, Jeremy, Nichole, Adam and Holly; step-grandchildren, Jacob, Corinne, Brennan, Emma, Joey, Henry and Jack; great-grandchildren, Blake, Tristan and Asher; son-in-law, Mark Gilleski.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Olen Claypool; daughter, Elizabeth Claypool-Gilleski; her parents; step-sister, Geraldine.
Friends will be received 4-7 pm Thursday, December 9, 2021 at the Behm Family Home, 26 River St. in Madison. Memorial Service will be 11 am Friday, December 8, 2021 at the funeral home with Graveside Committal to take place at Fairview Cemetery in Madison Village.

Nancy had such a cheery pleasant personality. Nice person. I lived next door and baby sat her 3 kids. Her property had been my grandfather’s farm , my mom was born in the house. I still remember her laughter and smile. So sorry for your loss Jim. Connie Rae Cromwell Malize
