Nancy Blalock
May 20, 1947 ~ November 30, 2018
Nancy Blalock, age 71 of Madison, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018 at the David Simpson Hospice House. Born May 20, 1947 in Youngstown, she was the daughter of the late M. Robert and Carol Irene (Dodd) Balaban. She married Roy Blalock on December 30, 1965 in Aberdeen, Maryland.
In her younger years Nancy was full of energy and had an adventurous spirit. She worked for Mentor TV for many years and also for Crile Road Hardware in their retail department and as a bookkeeper. With a kind and caring heart she raised a wonderful family, instilling the values of trust and respect in her children. Her family meant the world to her and she cherished the moments spent with them.
Nancy is survived by her husband: Roy; her daughters: Michele (Mike) Cochran and Tabitha (Eric) Burkholder; sons: Roy (Sherrie), Wayne (Sandy), and Keith (Jill) Blalock; grandchildren: Alyson, Holly, William, Katherine, Claire, Kaitlin, and Evelyn; great grandchildren: Cali, Mathew, and Chase; brothers: Robert, James, David (Judith), Paul (Laura), and Donald Balaban; sisters: Dianne (Charles) LeMay, and Marlane Bastian. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Mark Logan Blalock; and granddaughter, Hanna.

Memories? Boy have I got some good ones! We were Brownies, Girl Scouts, and musicians together, as well as classmates. Nancy left anindelible memory with all of us in Mr. Rumancik's math class that day… a happy one that has lasted 56 years so far! Thanks for the memory, Nancy! You can still make us laugh. Safe trip home. We know you will wait at the Pearly Gates for Roy.
You were my first freiend as I started my new life as Jims wife 50 years ago. I will never forget our friendship. You will be missed rest in peace.
