Myong Son "Kim" Hummel

Myong Son Kim Hummel, age 72, of Geneva, died September 16, 2017 at the Cleveland Clinic. She was born October 16, 1944 on Jeju Island, Korea. She married Richard F. Hummel on June 18, 1970 in South Seol, Korea, moved to Geneva in 1971 and became a U.S. citizen in 1974. Kim owned operated Kims Oriental Foods Restaurant in Geneva and with her husband, co-owned and operated Shortstop Drive-Thru in Ashtabula.
Kim is survived by her husband of 47 years, Richard; son, Richard J. (Stacy) Hummel, both of Geneva; sister, Myong (Larry) Cullins of Stacyville, ME; step grandson, Dylan Hummel of Geneva and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A private interment for her family was held at Fairview Memorial Park.
