Muriel A. Moseley
November 28, 1918 ~ December 5, 2015
Muriel A. Moseley, 97, lifelong resident of Thompson, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 05, 2015 at Briar Cliff Assisted Living.
She was born on November 28, 1918 to Iva (Behm) and Lewis Chaffe. Muriel graduated from Thompson High School Class of 1936 and married the love of her life, Charles N. Moseley on October 15, 1941.
Muriel was a member of Thompson United Methodist Church and the Ledge Grange. She enjoyed volunteering at Geauga Hospital, Thompson Senior Center and was a former 4H advisor. Muriel's hobbies included traveling, crocheting and cross stitch, which earned her 1st place at the Geauga County Fair, more than once. She and Charles were Geauga County Grange Deputies for many years.
Mrs. Moseley is survived by her children, Alice (Denman) Jones, Alma (John) Lausin, Cheryl (Harry) Carr and Lewis (Gail) Moseley; She was adored by her 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, including grandson Bryan who held a special place in her heart; brother, Richard (Eleanor) Chaffe; and sisters, Norma Starkey and June Olds.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles N. Moseley in 1983; and a brother, Stuart Chaffe.
Friends may call at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison on Thursday, December 10 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.
Funeral services will be held, Friday, December 11, 2015 at 11:00 at Thompson United Methodist Church, 6758 Madison Rd., Thompson, with Pastor Jonathan Cooney, officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
Contributions in memory of Muriel may be given to the Thompson United Methodist Church, memorial fund.
