Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I was one of Char’s nurses at the Lantern of Madison, where I cared for her over the last five years. Char was a special lady! We shared many conversations about good books, her family,
politics, and many other things! She enjoyed starting James Patterson books(often never finishing, before she’d find interest in a new book), We each had a son named Jay( whom she misses and often shared memories with me about him).
She always asked me about my boys and
always asked to me see pictures! One year for Christmas, I got her a little angel bracelet in memory of Jay, she always wore it & thanked
me almost every day for it! She loved her daughter and grandkids , showing me new pictures she got in the mail and bragging about her daughters vegan cookies(that were amazing by the way). During OSU games , don’t interrupt her with anything, unless you were gonna sit on her big cream comfy couch and yell at the TV with her! She loved OSU and she was so grateful when her nephew came from out of town to watch a game
with her! Char was definitely a special lady and I always chose her door to decorate at the holidays , and we won 1st place for Halloween and for Christmas one year! She enjoyed all the compliments she got when her door was decorated as a gingerbread house or at Halloween, as the bride of Frankenstein. I have many fond memories with Char and thoroughly enjoyed being her nurse over the last five years! My condolences go out to your family!

  2. Dear Jackie -> I am so sorry to learn about the passing of Charlene. I have such great memories of her from the old neighborhood. Your Mother was truly one of the nicest people I have ever known in my life. Rachel Cassis.
