Michael Tramte

Michael J. Tramte, age 72, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Wade Park Veterans Hospital in Cleveland. He was born September 29, 1941 in Cleveland to Amelia (Fortuna) and John Stanley Tramte. Michael was a member of the U.S. Navy as a Ship's Electrician. After being honorably discharged, he worked and traveled throughout the country as a Nuclear Power Plant Inspector. Michael enjoyed movies, music, reading, cooking and riding on his motorcycle. He enjoyed traveling and seeing the world through his computer. Michael tried to spend as much time with his children and his grandchildren that work would allow. He lived life to the fullest -- no matter what the situation. He never quit. He knew tomorrow would be a better day and he would have another chance. His motto, "Live well, Laugh often, Love with all your heart!" He is survived by his children, Kim Smith, Michael John (Bobbie) Tramte II, Jason P. Tramte, Rebecca L. (Marian) Munteanu, Aaron J. Tramte, Mathew P. Tramte, Bethany H. (Christopher) Chongris; grandchildren, Kristin, Patrick, Karrie, Emily (Jacob), Ethan, Eve, Nadia, Daniel, Helena, Lydia, Athena; great-grandchild, Emmalynn; brothers, James B. (Lydia) Tramte, Richard G. (Sandy) Tramte; former spouse and mother of Michael's children, Mimi (Hurley) Tramte; ex-wife, Beverly (DeMore) Tramte. He was preceded in death by his baby daughter, Kelly; grandson, Nicolas Davis; parents and sister, Amelia Joan Skocaj. Friends will be received Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, OH 44041. Funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. January 9, 2014.
