Michael "Mike" Stark

Michael J. "Mike" Stark, age 64, of Rock Creek, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013 while enjoying the outdoors in Pennsylvania. He was born March 10, 1949 in Geneva to Anne ( Sedmak) and Frank Stark. He married Shelley (Stone) on November 30, 1988 in Austinburg, OH. Mike served in the U.S. Air Force in the Philippines during the Viet Nam War. He worked at Rockwell Brake in Saybrook for 20 years. Mike and Shelley were the owners of the Clay Street Inn for 21 years. He worked at Debonné Winery, he also worked in sales at Paquet Auto. Most recently he worked at the Home Depot in Chardon. Mike was a member of the NRA, the Nature Conservatory and he was also known as the Morgan Swamp monitor. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed meeting new people and touched many lives. Mike spent many hours in his workshop where he was always making projects to give to his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Shelley Stark of Rock Creek; sons, Justin Stark of Geneva, Aaron (Kristin) Stark of Geneva, Jeff Stone of Harpersfield; daughter, Jen (Terry) Hejduk of Hartsgrove; grandchildren, Kyle, Mardie, Hagan, Gabe, Braden, Turner; brother, Frank (Connie) Stark, Jr; father-in-law George Stone; many loved nieces and nephews, and best friend, George, his Jack Russell Terrier. He was preceded in death by his parents; step father, Charlie Davis and grandparents. Michael J. "Mike" Stark passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013. A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Eagleville Bible Church, 1981 St. Rt. 45 N, Rock Creek, OH 44084.
