Michael D. Kane, age 76, passed away at home on December 21, 2020. Beloved husband of Kay (nee Schack); loving father of Kevin (Michelle) Kane and Chris (Irene) Kane; loving son of Kenneth and Lillian Kane (both deceased); brother of Brian (Marie, deceased) Kane and Kenneth Kane (Billie Moore); uncle of Vince and Dennis Kane and Rustun, Andrew and Todd Schack; preceded in death by brothers-in-law Ed and Rusty Schack; beloved grandfather of Carolina, Camden, Alexander, Jackson and Audrey. He had a passion for sports and never missed an opportunity to watch his kids and his grandchildren play. He will be missed and fondly remembered by his teammates as “No Hit” Kane. He graduated from Ashtabula Harbor High School in 1962 and his undergraduate degree and MBA were awarded by The Ohio State University. He practiced accounting in North Carolina, California and Ohio for 45 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception church in Madison on December 29, 2020 at 11 AM. Final resting place will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Ashtabula. Guests are encouraged to follow pandemic guidance, wear facial covering, and social distance. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Ashtabula County Animal Protective League, 5970 Green Rd, Ashtabula, OH 44004, Lake County Humane Society, 7564 Tyler Boulevard, Bldg.   1. So sorry to learn of Mike's passing. It's like losing one of the family, as Lil and Kaney were best friends of my parents. The few times I saw Mike, it was fun to reminisce.
