Michael Anthony Socosky

Michael Anthony Socosky, age 22, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Monday, August 3, 2015. He was born June 18, 1993 in Painesville, the son of Carol (Messer) and Don Socosky. Michael was a 2010 graduate of Madison High School and just recently graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor's of Science in Communication, majoring in Audio Music Production of Communication. With a passion for music, he was an accomplished musician and often used his skills to bring joy to others. During high school Michael played trumpet in the marching and jazz bands. He was very involved with the youth group at Crossroads Community Church and went on mission trips to Colorado and Mexico. He was very good with people and had a genuine loving and caring disposition. His compassion and love of others made his times at Stoney Glenn rewarding. He also had a fond love of animals and they were always part of his life. He is survived by his parents: Don and Carol; brother, Don Durral Socosky, Jr. of Mentor; nephew, Logan Westly; grandfather, Robert Messer of Geneva; aunts, LaDonna Williamson of Logan, WV, Darlene Messer of Medina, OH; uncle, Timothy Messer of New York, NY and fiancé Jessica Mayle of Nelsonville, OH. Friends will be received 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River Street, Madison. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, August 10th at Cornerstone Friends Church, 2300 Hubbard Road, Madison.
