Michael A. Rogala

Michael A. Rogala, Age 91, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2009 UHHS Geauga Regional Hospital in Claridon Township, Ohio. Born September 3, 1918 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Catherine (Celieski) & Anthony Rogala, he married Cecelia Starzenski on April 16, 1940 in Pittsburgh, PA. Michael served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a supervisor for J. L. Steel Mill for 41 years retiring in 1976. He was a member of Saint Alfonsus Church and a graduate of South High School in Pittsburgh, PA. He loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. A kind hearted person, he was known as Uncle Mike by all who knew him. He was always there to lend a hand. He is survived by Wife of 67 years, Cecelia Starzenski Rogala of Geneva; Sister, Stella Koval of Pittsburgh, PA; Many Nieces? and Nephews He was preceded in death by Parents, Anthony and Catherine Rogala; Son, Ronnie Rogala; Sisters, Martha Novak, Babe Adamzak, and Agnus Zepkua. Memorial Mass will be held at a later date at St. Alfonsus Church, Wexford, PA. Final Resting Place will be at St. Josephs Cemetery in Brownsville, PA Arrangements are being handled by The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, OHIO 44057.
