Mervin L. Masino

Mervin L. Masino, age 88, of Highland Heights, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Hillcrest Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 29, 1935 in Cleveland to Domonic and Pauline (Tatman) Masino.
Merv Masino, “as told by Merv,” worked diligently for 42 years for Gulf Oil and Cuyahoga Chemical. He served in the United States Army, was a member of First Church of Christ in Painesville and volunteered in many venues, including the Boy Scouts with his sons, and for the Mayfield Township Historical Society. In his spare time he could be found in his basement doing woodworking and turning pens and camping with the family at Blue Rock Camp.
He leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Helen; children, David (Donna) Masino, Diana Gandy, Nancy (Alan) Epperson and Daniel (Bobbi) Masino; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Sandra (Paul) Crow, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Francie Masino; brother, James Masino and son-in-law, Bobbie Gandy.
Friends will be received, 10 am to 11:30 am Monday, July 3, 2023 at Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison, with a service immediately following at 11:30 am. Final Resting place will be at Montville Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Merv’s name to the Mayfield Township Historical Society, 606 SOM Center Road, Mayfield Village, OH 44143.
