Merri L. Piorkowski, 55, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2009 at Hospice of The Western Reserve Cleveland in Cleveland, Ohio.
Born October 5, 1953 in Hereford, Texas to Lupe (Martinez) & Lazaro Acevedo
Merri was a Family & Consumer Science Teacher at Mentor High School
She was a devout Christian and a member of Crossroads Community Church. Known to her family and friends as ?the Mexican cook of all cooks?. She enjoyed traveling and shopping and found joy in her life by bringing joy to others. Merri will be remembered for her love of life and infectious laugh.
She is survived by Husband,Edward W. Piorkowski of Madison; 3 sons, Jeremy (Crystal) Griego of Fredericksburg, VA, Kory Piorkowski of Madison, Kyle Piorkowski of Madison; 1 Daughter, Kimothy (Jared Pikor) Piorkowski of Madison; 2 Granddaughters, Brianna & Kaitlyn; Mother, Lupe Acevedo; 2 Brothers and 5 Sisters
She was preceded in death by her Father, Lazaro Acevedo
Friends will be received 4-6 pm, Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Crossroads Community Church, 6685 Middle Ridge Road, Madison, Ohio. Memorial Service will follow at 6:00 pm at the church. Rev. Michael Haury will be officiating.
